The Rolling Stones, iconic and internationally famous rock-band, played their first gig outside of London on July 13th 1963 at The Outlook , Corporation Rd, Middlesbrough. The present Teesside Combined Law Courts now stand on the site of these premises, which were built as a small department store featuring fashion, hair-styling and record sales. The small 'club' was actually a coffee and snack-bar in the basement. Manchester band, The Hollies appeared the same night.
