Sixteen parents completed the next section of the questionnaire. Below the number of YES/NO responses are indicated followed by a selection of parental comments in relation to this section of the questionnaire. 8) Do you think it is important school and home work together in supporting your child? 9) Do you meet with the class teacher to review your child?s Individual Education Plan (IEP) or request to have it sent home? Outcome and action All parents were very positive about the value of the children?s IEPs. We aim to continue with this good practice. Four parents whose children have received input from our Educational Psychologist responded to the questionnaire. They gave positive responses to all the questions. Below are some of the comments included in their responses. 12) You have received support from our Educational Psychologist, Mrs Marianne Doonan (or Craig Small prior to Sept 2004). Do you feel the support is/was relevant to your child?s needs? Please comment. § I am very impressed with the support of Mrs Doonan. I feel she is very understanding of our child?s needs and our needs as parents. She has been very helpful. 13) Do you feel your child?s needs have been clearly explained to you? Yes, everybody who supports my child tries their best to help him and family. 14) Has Mrs Doonan explained how your child will be supported in school?
